Start by separating your hair into two sections. Don’t worry about being precise or neat. Focus on one section, divide into three equal parts, then French braid
downwards starting from the top. Continue down to the nape of your neck, then change technique and braid as normal to the ends. Secure with a hair tie, then mess things up slightly by teasing with your fingertips for a more relaxed look. Repeat this on the opposite side. Next comes the chignon; gather your two plaits into a chignon shape by rolling each one back up onto itself. Secure with bobby pins and a good dose of hairspray to keep things in place. Complete your look with dramatic eye make-up and a feminine outfit. © PixelFormula / Gosia Baczyńska, prêt-à-porter runway, Autumn-Winter 2014-2015 © Jean Louis David
