The ultra-loose braid: perfect for all hair types

Share
Although the braided crown and other dainty plaited styles are all the rage this season, the opposite of this trend isn’t far behind. The ultra-loose braid is just as pretty and simple to create.

This season, braids are being worn in a more relaxed manner. Your plait should be fairly loose to really nail this off-duty trend. However, unlike other loose styles such as the messy bun, the braid keeps a sophisticated feel that looks effortless.

The ultra-loose braid is perfect for giving a smart outfit a chic finish, with a certain nonchalant effect. Another reason we love the loose braid is because it is suited to all hair types (from fine to thick, but not short of course) and is ideal for both novices and experts.

Want to give this runway look a go for yourself? It couldn’t be simpler. Braid your locks from the mid-lengths downwards, leaving plenty of hair loose at the ends. Next, relax the braided section by gently teasing strands outwards for a more casual look. If you want to give this style some volume, simply spray some dry shampoo into the roots before you start to braid to add some body and texture.
