The leather hat for a biker look

Bad boys tend to go for shaved heads. Bad girls rarely make this unglamorous choice. They’d rather show off their rebellious side with accessories or clothes. At Dsquared2, models are both sexy and rebellious for a perfectly chic biker look! Here’s the lowdown.

The biker trend. If you want to work the urban biker look, wear lots of leather and black. This trend appeared last autumn-winter and is seeing continued success in spring-summer 2013. This time it’s less heavy but by no means toned down. On the Dsquared2 catwalk this season, dresses are black but shorter and lower cut. We’re also seeing lots of chain jewellery and belts for a bling-bling biker look.

How to wear the leather hat. For a chic, biker style, forget wearing a hat with short or unstyled hair. Play around with contrasts with subtle, straight layers, like at Dsquared2. For a perfect result, tame any frizz and keep on top of your ends. Apply a heat protector spray to wet hair to protect it from the heat of your styling tools and make the straightening process easier. Start by blow-drying your hair then move onto straightening. Create a centre parting then place your leather hat carefully on your head so as not to suffocate your scalp. Wear it facing forward or slightly to the side for an alluring result! Feel free to go for versions featuring decorative details to give your biker look a girly vibe.
