Runway to reality: wavy side hair
This winter why not revisit an old classic; side hair with wavy lengths! This hairstyle was spotted on the Chloé Autumn-Winter 2014-2015 runway show at Paris Fashion Week. Let’s take a closer look at this simple, yet sophisticated, look.
The trend. Side hair looks great when styled with long locks, but works equally as well with the bob. Most of the hair was curled and hung loosely over one shoulder. The opposite side was swept behind and draped down onto the model’s backs. A side parting gives this look some structure.
Who can wear wavy side hair? Combining side hair with a wavy effect is the perfect way to link elegance and modernity. Our favorite bit? This look can be worn for any occasion, meaning we can wear it to work or for a cocktail party with friends.
Get the runway look. Start with clean hair that is tangle free and straightened. Next, take your curling iron and start creating waves on small sections. When complete, lightly break up your curls with your fingertips for a more natural end-result. You can now create your side parting. Sweep one side back behind the ear whilst gathering your lengths onto the front of the opposite shoulder. Make sure everything stays in place with a layer of hairspray and voila! Hollywood glamour at its best!
