How to wear the surfer-girl fringe this autumn
In summer, it’s easy to take a dip in the sea or the pool and emerge with an on-trend wet-look. Some women prefer to brush their locks backwards for a more polished finish whilst others like to let the front strands dangle loose for a messier take on the trend, similar to the Giles runway (pictured).
However, this look can also be carried through to autumn. There’s nothing like wearing a summer hairstyle in autumn to keep the vacation vibes flowing. Although the runway models wore eye-obscuring fringes, it’s best not to wear this look for a daytime occasion. Opt for a loose ponytail to keep hair out of your face, whilst allowing your fringe to remain messy and unkempt. This style is perfect for re-creating a summer-inspired look thanks to its bohemian, yet feminine, end result.
To style the Giles runway hair, you don’t need squeaky clean locks. Create a side parting and apply a product which will give you the on-trend wet-look. Gel is ideal, however use sparingly! Slick back your hair into a sleek shape, then decide whether to style into a ponytail or chignon. Don’t worry about the back of your hair; you should be focusing all of your attention on the front. Your surfer-girl bangs are perfect for both the summer season and fall!
