How to style your hair after two days without washing it.

Hairdressers tell you not to wash your hair too often. But sometimes you find it hard to follow their advice… You feel that after a couple of days your hair isn’t looking great. Here are some styling tips to make your hair last one day longer!

Sometimes you feel like your hairdresser tells you not to wash your hair as often as you’d like just to test you! You’re tempted to wash it every two days, sometimes even every day, as you find that your hair quickly starts to lose shape or go greasy. “But it’s best to try and leave at least three days between each wash. It’s good for your hair and scalp. If you wash it too frequently, you could end up damaging your scalp and the hair’s fibre.”

If the issue after two days is the appearance of greasy roots, get your hands on some dry shampoo. “Apply it to the roots to absorb as much sebum as possible. This will make your hair easier to style.” Otherwise, work with greasy hair by going for a wet-look style, slicking your hair back. “If you have short hair, it’s a bit easier to hide greasy roots. Create a dishevelled hairstyle using styling products such as Texture Powder.”

If it’s simply psychological, try to hold on just one day longer! “It’s easy to style your hair, even after two days without washing it. You just need to know how. Using a styling mousse, a styling spray or by simply wetting your hair again, creating a hairstyle is easy.” But the simplest option is to tie it back into a trendy braid or chignon.

Our tip: Don’t forget to fix your hairstyle in place with hairspray. After all your effort with styling products, you’ll want to make sure the style holds! Spray evenly across your hair. Remember, you can always use hairspray to create your hairstyle as well.
