How to style hair after working out on your lunch break

Many women like to make the most of their lunch hour at work by going for a jog or heading to the gym. The only problem? You don’t always have the time to wash your hair after a sweat-inducing work out. What’s the best solution? How should you style your locks? The pros give their top tips on post-workout hairstyles.

One of the most popular post-workout hairstyle has to be the updo. ‘You want to tie your hair up as you’ve probably sweated a fair bit and can’t do much with your hair in its current state, especially considering your hair is now greasy and warm. Don’t think, however, that all of your hair will appear oily. Only your roots may look greasy as the hair strands start to stick together’.

Dry shampoo is your best friend after a gruelling work out session. ‘Apply dry shampoo if you don’t have to time to wash your locks. It will instantly freshen and boost volume. After, it’s up to you to decide which hairstyle you want to create. Try a braid or ponytail, depending on whichever suits you best’.

On your workout days, you’ll need 3 key hair products in your handbag. ‘The first is dry shampoo which will lift your greasy roots. Next, style your hair into whichever look you want to create. Add a dash of Shine Spray to leave locks smelling clean and fresh. Finish with an even layer of hairspray to keep your new style in place all day long’.

Our advice. After your work out session, washing hair is always the best solution. If you don’t have time, rely on your dry shampoo which will save your back-to-work hairstyle.
