How to get smoky eyes like a rock chick
Smoky eyes add depth and character to your look. This special make-up technique gives you a guaranteed rock chick look in the blink of an eye. For added intensity and to find the make-up to match your rock ‘n’ roll hairstyles, follow our step-by-step guide on how to get rock chick smoky eyes.
Apply foundation to your eyelid to keep your make-up in place. Foundation used as a base helps to set your eyeshadow onto your eyelids. To make sure you’re using the right foundation, choose one that is slightly lighter than your natural skin tone. Feel free to test it directly on your skin first.
Apply kohl eyeliner to the lower water line and upper lash line. This will intensify your look. Use your finger to blend it in for a soft, rock effect.
Now use a dark eyeshadow to create your smoky eyes. Opt for a dark shade, such as slate grey, on your eyelid. Apply a deep black eyeshadow to the outer corner and crease of your eyelid. Again, use your fingers to create the perfect intensity.
The final touch: mascara. To boost your look, finish by applying a few layers of black mascara! Start from the base of your lashes and work outwards for full, rock chick lashes.
Hairstyles to wear with rock chick smoky eyes. If you have short hair, go for a backcombed quiff. Smoky eyes also look great with long, dishevelled hair for a neo-grunge style. Finally, the more daring of you should sport the half-hawk trend, shaving one side of your head.
