Hair products and care for skiing

It’s not easy to stay sexy on the slopes. With unflattering ski suits, ski boots and gear to keep you warm, it takes a stroke of genius to look your best. Follow our advice on how to keep your hair looking fabulous!

When skiing you often hide your hair under beanies, Russian hats or even helmets to make sure you’re protected on the slopes. There’s no point sacrificing your safety or comfort just to look good on the slopes! But some adjustments can be made depending on your needs.

If you ski at high speeds, opt for a helmet to protect you in case you fall. “If you have mid-length or long hair, tie it up into a ponytail or braid. That way your hair will be protected and easier to untangle at the end of the day!”

The beanie is not the only way to keep warm, which means you don’t have to suffocate your scalp or put up with greasy roots. “Instead go for wool headbands or ear muffs. These are ultra-stylish and will give you the warmth you’re after!” These accessories are also great for keeping your hair back and out of your eyes when you’re hurtling down the slopes!

After your ski break it’s time to give your hair some TLC. Have a look at your hair and scalp to see what products they need. “If your roots are greasy, use a shampoo and hair mask for greasy roots and dry ends. Alternate with a softer shampoo.” To tame static hair, style using an ionic brush and spray hairspray onto a comb and run it through your hair. Perfect for any night out!

Our tip: For beautiful hair, limit how often you wash your hair. No more than once or twice a week. Your hair tends to go greasier when you’re skiing, so you’ll need to wash it more often, once every two days perhaps. But get back into your normal routine as soon as you’re back!
