Gisele, 29: “The ultra-straight bob”

Your look? I’ve always been quite tall and slim, and I used to get called names for being stick-thin. I used to find it a real nuisance when I was a teenager, but today I see it as one of my main assets! The great thing about having this physique is that you can try and wear anything! Shorts and skirts, prints, stripes, colours… Some people think that these ruin a look, but I find that, when worn right, they boost any style! I take my inspiration from fashion magazines and blogs written by seasoned fashionistas to avoid any style faux-pas!

Your hairstyle? I’m Asian and I’ve got the straight, manageable hair to prove it! Although many of my Asian friends long for wavy hair, I’m content with my obedient hair and I make the most of it. My hair is quite sleek and I usually leave it down as it’s used to humidity. I only tie it up into a ponytail if I’m doing sport or if I want to look more professional! As for treatments, I mainly use products to help keep my hair nice and shiny.

Your look today? I love how timeless and sophisticated the bob is. And this year it’s ultra-straight, which is ideal for my hair! For a perfect cut, I visit my hairdresser regularly to get rid of any split ends. The last time I went I asked him to create a subtly graduated bob to emphasise the sleekness of the style. In the mornings, all I have to do is create a centre-parting for perfectly symmetrical sides!
