Dip-dye hair for men

A real game-changer for the world of hair color, dip-dye hair is now on-trend for men! And yes…even male fashionistas are being tempted to try this lightening color treatment on the mid-lengths and ends of their hair, adding a sun-kissed glow. Let’s take a closer look at how guys can work the dip-dye trend.

Dip-dye. We hardly need to introduce this trend, as it has been seen over and over again during the last couple of seasons. However, we’re betting you weren’t expecting this trend to become equally as popular with men’s hair. These last few months, the dip-dye color technique has become increasingly popular for men with mid-length to long hair, thanks to upcoming Hollywood star and singer Jared Leto’s recent hair transformation. Who said only women who could dye their hair?

Who can wear the trend? Guys who aren’t afraid of having to spend time in the bathroom every morning styling their hair, and those who are addicted to the latest trends. In fact, this look requires taking good care of your locks and making sure they are sufficiently hydrated each day by using the right products for your hair type. Scared of taking the plunge? Start by creating a more subtle version of the dip-dye look which will make your hair look like it has been lightened slightly by the sun’s rays. This will lighten your style and open up your face without the upkeep of the full dip-dye color.

How to create the look. Make sure you go to your salon to create this look. It’s very risky to attempt the dip-dye look at home, especially if you want the effect to be subtle. Ideally, your roots should already be a fairly dark shade (darker than honey blonde) so that the difference between the two colors in noticeable. You can create this look on both long hair and mid-length hair, which will show off your new color to full effect.
