Dare to try the real-hair headband
This winter, the real-hair headband is about to give your classic ponytails a style overhaul. Why not give this simple-to-style, on-trend look a go? Sophistication and originality are top of the agenda!
This style was spotted on the Ter & Bantine Autumn-Winter 2014-2015 runway show at Paris Fashion Week. This sleek updo opens up the face and is perfect for showing off your natural make-up look. Model’s complexions were flawless and even, paired with a nude lip, whilst eyes were defined with a sweep of colourful eyeliner. In terms of outfits, models wore loose, floaty pieces in monochrome tones. The result? The ideal combination between elegance, femininity and off-duty chic.
Get the runway look by isolating the front section of your hair to act as your headband. Choose which side you want to be swept over, then comb the rest in the opposite direction. For a no-parting effect, start from just behind the ears. Another technique is to create a low-parting and sweep the rest of your hair onto the opposite side. Pin into place with some bobby pins for maximum hold. If you want to make your new style shine, simply apply a small amount of gel to the upper section, finishing with a layer of hairspray.
