Create a feminine look with babydoll eyes

We often hear that the eyes are the key to the soul, so don’t let these precious assets go to waste! There’s no better way to create a flirty, feminine look than playing up your peepers. Get your mascara and eyeliner at the ready to create an intense, seductive and powerful smoulder. Follow our steps to nail the look.

Get the babydoll look. The babydoll look was taken to the next level on the runway thanks to a clever make-up trick; eyelashes were drawn using eyeliner to make the eyes appear bigger than ever. You can make this look work for you for daywear by dialling down the intensity with similar results. Apply a light eyeshadow base to your eyelid. Next, take your gel liner (felt-tip and crayon versions work just as well) and line your upper and lower lashes. Take a thickening mascara and wiggle at the root of your lashes, making sure each and every lash is covered from root to tip. Next, the idea is to make certain lashes stick together. To do this, turn your mascara brush vertically and nudge your lashes into place, allowing them to clump slightly. The result is a doe-eyed look that oozes femininity.

A fresh complexion. No babydoll look would be complete without a touch of pink! You should be aiming for a natural flush, as if you’ve been walking outside in the fresh air. Start by camouflaging any uneven skin tone with a liquid foundation, then set with a light-reflecting powder. Next, add some depth to the apples of your cheeks with a subtle pink blush and slick a transparent gloss over your lips to complete the look.

Romantic hair. Open up your face and show off your new beauty look with a sleek topknot bun, or opt for a more relaxed vibe and rock some curls. Add some luxury accessories such as embroidered clips, beads and pearls in pastel shades for a romantic-chic finish.
