2 quick tricks to hide your hair tie

Tying your hair into a ponytail generally involves using a hair tie. This accessory isn’t the prettiest of things to look at, however can be easily hidden. The question is, how can you do this and what are the best techniques? Read on for our top tips.

Technique #1. You can use this technique on both a low-slung and high ponytail, depending on your individual tastes. Follow the same steps you would usually follow to create this look. Gather all of your hair at the rear of your head, either at the base of the neck or on top of the head, securing with a thin hair elastic. Once your hair is tied back, take a strand of hair from the lengths of your ponytail and wrap around the elastic. Pin into place with a couple of bobby pins which match your natural hair color. Your hair tie will be completely hidden, thanks to your singular strand of hair.

Technique #2. The next technique involves copying the Holly Fulton runway hairstyles. Start by creating a side parting, or sweep your hair backwards. Section the left side of your hair and tie the rest into a low-slung ponytail. Next, take the left section and bring over the top of your hair tie, cleverly disguising it. Once you have this in position, tuck into the underside of your ponytail. This enables you to create a stylish take on this classic look, whilst hiding your boring hair tie.
