The pros discuss this season’s statement quiff

The statement quiff is a style you can wear almost any day of the week. As well as being simple to create, it instantly adds a touch of elegance to your outfit and is a great look for all women. Whether you have long, mid-length or even short hair, you can give this style a go.

Everyone can try the statement quiff. ‘The only pre-requisite is that your hair is not too fine, otherwise it will be difficult to create the necessary height, due to lack of texture. Layered hair works best for this hairstyle as the different lengths will help it stay in place for longer. But, whatever the length of your hair, a statement quiff will look amazing’.

There are several different ways to create the oversized quiff. ‘If you’re looking for a quick technique, take a section of hair from the top of your head, then backcomb with a fine tooth comb and finish with Fix Ultime spray. This will create your quiff shape in seconds. Straighten your lengths and you’re good to go!’

If you have more time on your hands, you can try creating the statement quiff using more product. ‘Apply a strong hold spray and mousse at the roots to give your quiff structure and volume. Next, backcomb your roots and pin back into a quiff’.

Once you’ve created this upper section of your style, the rest of your hair should not take long to complete. ‘When you’ve finished styling your quiff, apply hairspray to keep it firmly in place. The finishing touches can be added with a blast of Shine Spray to give your look some long-lasting gloss'.

Our tip: Don’t be afraid to give this style a go. You can vary the height and volume according to the look you’re aiming to create, with different levels of sophistication. Everyone should try out this style at least once!
