The no-hair-tie ponytail spotted on the runway
Elegant and sophisticated looks were big news on the Valentino Haute Couture runway this season. The graceful, clean lines worn by models were complimented beautifully by simple, yet daring, hairstyles. We’re head over heels in love with the new no-hair-tie ponytail.
These glossy hairstyles were centred on wavy, long locks. To really show off your look, no hair ties are needed. Here, only a strand of hair is used to gather hair into the classic ponytail shape. To copy this look for yourself, create a centre parting. Next, apply a heat-protective spray before taking a curling iron to mould your lengths into soft waves. Opt for a small spritz of Shine Spray to give your locks a luscious shine. To make sure your ponytail lasts all day long, gather into a low bunch with a transparent hair elastic which will blend with your hair. Secure loosely into place, then take a small strand from your ponytail and wrap around the hair elastic, cleverly concealing it and fix into place with a hair pin. To finish, spray evenly all over with hairspray.
This look is the ideal solution to a posh evening do or even a wedding reception. To really nail this hairstyle, mid-length hair is the perfect length for a longer-lasting hold.
