The classic ponytail spotted on the Gucci runway
When it comes to hair this year, Spring 2015 is all about elegance and sophistication. The latest must-have? An ultra-simple ponytail, spotted on the Gucci haute-couture runway at Milan Fashion Week.
The new season is going to be all about this simple to style, yet super-chic and on-trend ponytail. To nail the trend, you’ll need to know how to create a low-slung ponytail that is neat and tidy. In terms of texture and volume, your style should be minimal and subtle rather than OTT. Here, our model has been styled with a smoky eye, nude complexion and au-natural lips.
This ponytail is perfect for anyone, whatever your hairstyle and hair type. However, you will need a minimum hair length that reaches your shoulders to achieve the look. This style is ideal for combining with a daring, sexy or quirky look thanks to its simplicity. If basics are more your thing, stick to a classic or sophisticated outfit.
Simple to create, start by parting hair neatly down the centre to give your hairstyle structure. Brush your hair backwards, then secure at the base of your neck with a hair tie. Finally, spray a fine layer of Shine Spray all over for a glossy-looking finish. Our top tip? Hide your elastic by taking a strand of hair from your ponytail and wrapping it around the base, securing with a hair pin, for an on-trend finish.
