For fashion designers it’s not just about clothes. They also love enhancing and showing off accessories. At Rochas, the favourite accessory is a simple hair accessory: a bigger-than-ever version of the bandeau headband.
 
Rochas’ sporty chic vibe. For its Spring-Summer 2013 collection, Rochas has gone for looks that are both chic and sporty at the same time. Models sport oversize bandeau headbands that all but cover their eyes. The bandeau shape is also used for misleadingly sporty tops.
 
How to wear the chunky bandeau. These XXL bandeau headbands were designed by Bucol, which specialises in producing silk for haute couture. The result: chunky bandeau headbands in fine materials. This hair accessory covers the top of the head, even reaching down across the forehead, and sometimes hiding the eyes. Placed on the top of the head, this wide headband is tied but does not suffocate your scalp. It should be worn loose and on gently tousled hair, left down. Quite a lot different from classic headbands which tend to be tight around the head. Hair is dried and fingers worked through it for a flexible, natural result. It is then pulled back before the bandeau is placed on the head.
