Runway to reality: baby hair

Before 2015, everyone was trying to hide and conceal their baby hairs by blending them into the rest of their style. This year however, all that is about to change. Models have been spotted wearing their baby hairs slicked down to their foreheads. Want to know more?

The trend. Braided lengths worn in a low ponytail or ballerina chignon. The focus of this look? Baby hairs of course. These wispy hairs were worn slicked onto the forehead. Although this gives the hairstyle a more rigid effect, the style is perfect if you want to add some character to your look. The end result is both original and daring.

Who can wear baby hairs? Anybody who wants to update their classic updo styles, or try something out of their comfort zone. These small hairs can work with any outfit; try yours for a celebratory evening occasion where you want to stand out from the crowd.

Get the runway look. Start by washing hair with Hydration and Suppleness shampoo. Your aim should be to strengthen and add shine. Dry as usual then create the updo of your choice. Next, section off your baby hairs at the edge of your hairline and comb using a fine-tooth comb. Heat a small amount of Design Gel between your palms then smooth down your hairs onto your forehead. Make sure you define each and every curl to nail this look. Finish with a layer of hairspray for a long-lasting hold.
