Paula, 23: “No more side parting, I swear by the centre-parting”

Your look? This is quite a classic look. I don’t like in-your-face pieces with garish colours and sky-high heels. I think you can be sexy and feminine without bearing all in tight, short or low-cut clothes. My friends think I’m behind with the times, but I don’t care! Subtlety and sophistication are key for me when it comes to choosing what to wear. I prefer to focus on the smaller details, to transform what might at first seem like a basic piece into an (almost) unique piece.

Your hairstyle? I have blue eyes and chestnut hair. A charming combination that I don’t want to get rid of! So for me, colouring my hair is out of the question. My hair is natural and long, which means that I can try out all sorts of different hair styles. I am a big fan of messy braids as well as ponytails when I’m looking for a style with a bit of thought behind it. Otherwise, I tend to dry my hair with a hair dryer using a round brush to get it as straight as possible. To stop my hair from drying out, I use a straightening heat protector spray as a barrier against the heat. Then I leave my hair down over my shoulders.

Your style today? Now that the centre-parting is back in fashion, I have finally abandoned the side-parting that even my mum loved so much. The centre-parting is simple to achieve but far from lacking in style. A comb and a straight line and the parting is ready. To stop my roots from looking limp and lifeless, I dry my hair upside down to give it lots of volume.
