Men: hairstyles for September 2013

Men deserve new trends for the new season too! For autumn-winter 2013-2014, there’s a huge choice of hairstyles to keep them looking ultra-trendy over the next few months. Roughed-up or slick, long or short… There’s something for everyone!

The wet look. Women are the not the only ones to have taken to this style. Men have too! Whether it’s to provide a slick effect for a hairstyle without a parting, or a dandy feel for a side-parted style, the wet look is everywhere. And it’s really easy to create. All you need is a bit of styling gel or pento to achieve this glossy effect.

Pulled back hair. That “perfect young gentleman” style is still very much in. Create a side parting and push your lengths back using styling wax or gel. To avoid looking too geeky, avoid slicking your hair down fully. Allow a bit of volume or go for a pompadour effect.

Roughed up hair. For anyone who hates spending ages styling their hair in the morning. Whether your hair is curly, flexible or straight, simply let your hair fall into place naturally. For the days when your hair refuses to play ball, always have styling wax at the ready. Apply to any flyaway hairs and you’re ready to face the day!

Cropped with a fringe. Spotted on the Prada catwalk, this cropped style, which features a fringe, is making its way into men’s hairstyle repertoires. But this one can be quite difficult to wear day-to-day, unless of course you’re a fan of Anna Wintour, the famous editor-in-chief of US Vogue.  If you think you can handle styling your hair every day, go for it.
