Guys: stick with the 3-day beard or grow it out?

This season’s biggest trend for guys has to be the beard that was spotted on pretty much every runway show. But, choosing which style suits you best can be tricky. It all depends on how much facial hair you can realistically grow and your everyday look. Let’s take a look at the two most popular beard styles of the moment.

The long beard. The long beard gives you a rugged, cave-man look and modern lumberjack vibe. Don’t try and create this look by neglecting your facial hair though! You still want to look groomed and as if you have taken the time to style your beard. Don’t let your beard become too long either, keep it trimmed and neat-looking.

The 3-day beardThis looks much more ‘clean’ than the longer beard and is worn more by men than its longer counterpart. Aim for a sexy rough look and make yours no longer than a few millimetres. The 3-day beard looks great, but it also turns out this look is practical for men with sensitive skin. Finally, a way to combat shaving rashes caused by regular shaving!

Which one is best? Which bearded style you choose ultimately depends on how much facial hair you already have or can grow. However, if you can only grow a small amount of facial fuzz, this doesn’t mean you look any less masculine! Beards are on-trend regardless of length, which is a question of personal taste and style. Often, the longer your beard, the more rock’n’roll your style will look. Stand out from the crowd and get noticed by rocking a well-groomed beard this season. Another pointer is that you’ll need to take your workplace into consideration. A lumberjack style beard might be a tad out of place in the boardroom…

The beard is the male equivalent of women’s hair; their crowning glory. Make the most of yours and send pulses racing.
