S-Waves
Camille's most radical hairstyle change
“I’ve always had straight, pretty lifeless hair. Two years ago, when the wavy trend was on its way in, I wanted to permanent curly hair so I wouldn’t have to waste time using my curling tongs every morning. I needed a professional to give my haircut movement. And the most long-lasting solution I was offered was the perm, even though no one has talked about it since the 90s!
When I got to the salon, I explained to them straightaway that I didn’t want obvious, corkscrew curls, instead I was after a wavy style. My stylist explained that this could be achieved with a perm. He promised that the wavy effect would last at least three months as long as I didn’t wash my hair for 24 hours after the treatment. Otherwise the effect would be reversed straightaway.
I’m a bit lazy when it comes to styling my hair in the morning, so the perm was a real godsend. To loosen my curls, I apply styling mousse in the morning and that’s it! To take care of my hair at home, I use a shampoo and mask for curly hair to help it keep its body for as long as possible. I’m glad I took the perm plunge!”
