Crimped hair? Yes, but not too over the top. It’s hard to pull off crimped hair without looking like you’ve just walked straight out of the 90s. Get backcombed and crimped waves. Hair is not backcombed or crimped at the roots to avoid too bold a style. Start by creating a centre parting once your hair is dry and slick down your roots using hair gel. Don’t use too much of this styling product, you don’t want your roots to look greasy. Next work on your lengths. Take a comb and backcomb from the middle of your hair to your ends. This will give it a soft, fuzzy feel. Then, take your crimping irons and wait for your freshly crimped hair to cool down before running your fingers gently through the crimps. Let them fall nonchalantly over your shoulders for the perfect look.
