Apolline, 31: “A bold colour for a glam’rock look”

Your look? I don’t like simply following the crowds. It’s not because I’m pretentious, but because I find most of the looks dull and boring. I need colour, original pieces and coloured accessories. For example, I am a huge fan of the leather biker jacket. I find it very glam’rock, but think it needs that something extra. That’s why I bought this biker jacket with a studded collar. Another tendency I have is to go for anything bursting with colour. Especially when it comes to accessories… or my hair for that matter!

Your hairstyle? Very short. Ever since my teens I have loved the boy-cut. This has not changed as I’ve grown older. I think you can stay feminine, even with a short cut. Over time I have started to add my own personal touches to the cut, particularly colours! I am a natural redhead, and choose to accentuate it with a bright orange. This is a permanent colour which I have done regularly. One appointment with my hairdresser every three months and that’s all there is to it!

Your style today? Contrary to what people might think, you can play around with different styles, even with short hair. Obviously up-dos aren’t an option, but I can vary the shape and style of my cut. Today, I’m sporting a “Tintin” look, achieved using a sculpting paste to add texture and hold the style in place. I use this product on my hair once it is dry to increase its strengthening effect and make my hair really stand out. I use my fingers to smooth my hair to one side and spike up a few pieces. A very rock chick style!
