Think big with these maximum volume hairstyles

This season, hair professionals simply cannot resist maximum volume styles. Forget slick, wet-look styles for a moment and instead think backcombing and hairspray for an XXL result.

Haircuts for high volume styles. Before you even think about styling your hair, you need to think about your cut. To add volume, layers are an absolute must. No matter how much you backcomb your hair, if your cut is too thick, the volume won’t last long. Go for layers in order to take the weight out of the lengths and boost your roots!

Volume-boosting products. There are a few products you can use to give your hair that extra kick. Volumising shampoos and treatments, enriched with vitamins, restore volume and body to dull and lifeless hair. If you have fine hair, styling mousse is a good option. You choose how to apply it, either at the roots to add volume or to create curls and texture. Finally, don’t forget your precious hairspray to keep your volume-boosted hairstyles in place.

Hairstyles for XXL volume. To add volume to your styles, up-dos are the way to go! Try a body-boosted chignon for sixties volume. To do this, backcomb your hair generously and pull it back, tying it into a delicate chignon. Also consider the half ponytail. Give it volume by backcombing the underneath section and straightening the rest of your hair. Finally, for an XXL braid, you’ll ideally need long hair. Separate your lengths into three sections and braid loosely. Feel free to leave out a few stray pieces once you’ve created your braid to give your style more volume.
