The rounded fringe: hot to trot for 2015

The fringe is perfect for injecting some life into your look without opting for a radical hairstyle change. Let’s take a closer look at the voluminous version that has been listed as one of spring’s must-have accessories.

The trend. This fringe was spotted on the Alberta Ferretti Spring-Summer 2015 at Milan Fashion Week. Bangs were ultra-rounded, covered the entire forehead and stopped just short of the eyelashes; ideal for drawing attention to your eyes. The look takes direct inspiration from the 60s by adding a retro-chic vibe to your hairstyle.

Who can wear the rounded fringe? The rounded fringe is just as suited to women with mid-length to long hair as it is to those with a bob. If you’re looking for a hairstyle that will make your eyes the centre of attention, rounded bangs were made for you; perfect for a dramatic make-up look. Smoky peepers or a bold lip are sublime paired with this luxurious fringe.

Get the runway look. Let your lengths hang loose and add structure with a centre parting. Next, position your bangs so that they cover your forehead, using straighteners to create a rounded shape. Fix everything into place with hairspray and you’re good to go! Don’t forget to apply a heat-protective spray before styling to prevent your fringe looking frazzled and dry.
