Serious hair mistakes to avoid in 2018

Share

Hairstyle trends usually follow on from one another and can often vary dramatically ... So to help you steer clear of a hair faux pas in the new year, we have reviewed the mistakes that may trip you up. Here is a list of things to steer clear of so you can make some New Year's resolutions to hit 2018 in style!

Not using accessories

Headbands, hair clips, hats and other accessories are going to be all the rage in 2018. If you were unaware of their major comeback this autumn, now's the time to catch up with the trend.

Excessive bleaching

Good news for those who have gone for ice blond! From now on, there is no need to keep bleaching your roots every month to get rid of any grown-out roots. In 2018, visible roots contrasting with white blond are now highly on trend. However, the demarcation between the two must be well blended and not harsh.

Going for hairstyles not suited to the nature of your hair

The new year marks the comeback of natural locks and that goes for all hair types. Say goodbye to perms, smoothed-out afro locks and poker-straight hair! Instead, focus on subtle waves, fully embraced curls and soft and supple styles respecting your hair type.

Opting for a pastel shade

Gone are the days of candy pink, baby blue and pale green! Soft shades have completely disappeared off the catwalk and are being replaced by ultra-vibrant hair colouring techniques such as electric blue, acid yellow and fluorescent pink. In 2018, originality is all about being bold!
