Safari chic
The safari style is half adventurer, half urban. A truly summer look for a chic and wild style. Yves Saint Laurent paid tribute to the Sahara girl with his African collection at the end of the 60s, finally letting animal prints out of their cage. Here’s a look at a trend that is still going strong.
The safari look. There are certain rules to follow when going for a safari chic style. When it comes to clothes, the safari jacket is key. But also think shorts (preferably linen), lightweight harem pants, chinos, cheche scarves and messenger bags. Basically anything to bring out the adventurer in you! As for colours, stick to natural shades such as beige, sand, brown and khaki. Colours that you often see in nature. For an even more on-trend safari style, go for prints. Animal prints such as leopard, zebra or python. Or even tropical prints to represent the jungle! Finally, in terms of accessories, go for natural materials such as wood.
The safari beauty look. To complete your safari chic style, opt for the right beauty look. Make-up should be nude and natural. The complexion should be clear and cheekbones defined. Avoid outrageous eyeshadows and bright red lipstick. As for your hair, go for a dishevelled style, slightly wild like an urban adventurer. Or a messy fishtail braid for something a bit more sophisticated.
