The Daenerys Targaryen half-up half-down hairstyle

To create this look, gather your hair towards the back using a hairbrush and select two large strands from either side of your face, level with the temples. Braid each of the sections to form four braids and stop plaiting before you reach the ends. Hold them in place with transparent hairbands. Then curl the rest of your hair with curling tongs to create pretty waves. All that’s left for you to do now is hold the braids back using flat hairpins. A top tip? Cross them over to make sure that the hairstyle holds.

To get this pretty two-part braid, separate your hair into three sections, keeping the largest section of hair in the centre. First, do a central inverted braid (created by crossing the middle strand underneath as opposed to over the top of the others) and stop braiding when you reach the nape of the neck. Then do a simple three-strand braid on either side, tightening them as you go. Again, stop braiding when you reach the nape of the neck. As a finishing touch, combine all of the remaining hair into one fishtail braid and loosen it slightly to create a de-styled effect.
