How to wear the beret in summer

This summer the beret is rising from the ashes and shedding it’s old-fashioned image. Seen on the most stylish summer catwalks and celebs, the beret adds a vintage touch and French charm to any look.

The beret version summer 2013. The beret has timidly been trying to make a comeback for a few years now. But only this summer have fashionistas started to wear it in the same way as the straw hat or the baseball cap. The beret can be worn at any time of day, in bright-coloured or black felt, for a bohemian, summery look.

How to wear the beret in summer. In summer, temperatures are high. It’s a fact. There’s no point making it worse with accessories that suffocate your scalp and make you even hotter. So it’s just as well the beret is flexible enough to adapt to these criteria. Worn on the side of the head it offers a trendy, stylish result. This hair accessory should never be worn pulled right down onto the head. This will only suffocate your hair and leave it looking flat as a result.

Hairstyles to go with it. To cope with the heat and to avoid anything too preppy, tie your hair up into a trendy summer style. A side braid worn on the opposite side to the beret or a messy chignon will go perfectly with the dainty beret. This summer, the beret is a must-have accessory for those playful bohemian vibes that are being seen all over this season.
