A lot of people are going for short hair these days. Even the most girly of girls. Short cuts flatter your face, allowing you to play the seductress by revealing your neck and chest. But once again, you need to know how to style it properly… Especially if it’s curly! Here’s our advice.
For perfectly coiffed short, curly hair, you need to create pretty curls. “To give your curls some bounce, apply a styling mousse to wet hair to give the curl body and structure.” Just because you have naturally curly hair doesn’t mean your curls are perfectly defined! So by all means give them a helping hand.
Another issue often encountered with curly hair is dryness, which leaves hair coarse and often results in frizz. “It’s not rocket science that curly hair needs to be deeply hydrated to keep it looking beautiful. Use keratin-based treatments regularly as a long-lasting fix. These will also leave your hair looking nice and shiny.”
Now your curls are structured and your hair hydrated, it’s time to get styling. Don’t try to tame short, curly hair too much. Instead, let it run (almost!) wild. “Apply a styling mousse or curl definer to damp hair.” For an ultra-natural result, leave your hair to dry naturally. Otherwise, using a hair dryer with a diffuser, hold your hair upside down letting your curls fall into the diffuser. This allows them to shape themselves naturally.
Our tip: So that your hair falls into place naturally and easily, you’ll need the right haircut. With curly hair, it’s best to go for a slightly layered cut to make sure the volume is distributed evenly.
