Streetstyle: The ultra-short boyish crop

Short hair is back with a bang for 2015. Our streetstyle pick today is proving just that with her boyish crop, oozing femininity. Just as simple to style as it is to wear, this short style was big news at the Acné Studios runway show during Paris Fashion Week. Let’s take a closer look.

Her hairstyle. A short boyish crop which highlights all her best features. Her hair is short in parts and extremely short in others, her longest strand reaching just 3cm. The nape of her neck and front section are beautifully layered to frame her face. The best bit about boyish styles? They suit almost every face shape, hair type and hair style meaning you can wear both a relaxed or casual outfit. Finally, the boyish crop is perfect for busy mornings…simply run a brush through your style, add a touch of mousse and you’re good to go!

Her look. Our streetstyle wearer has chosen a very minimal look which creates an elegant finish. A wide-leg jump suit is ideal for your winter wardrobe. This chic ensemble doesn’t need much else to complete the look except a small coordinating clutch bag. In terms of make-up, she’s opted for a feminine, simple effect. A swoosh of winged eyeliner and a red pout add a glamorous touch and bring out her features.

Tip of the day. Remember that short hair needs as much care as longer lengths, so don’t neglect your regular haircare routine. Every 4-6 weeks, head to your stylist who will trim your style; essential for keeping the correct shape and structure.
