Hot to trot: the wet-look paired with a scarlet pout

The wet-look has been having a moment for the last couple of seasons, and it doesn’t look like this style is going anywhere fast for springtime! Discover how to pair a sophisticated make-up look with this chic hairstyle for an ultra-feminine finish.

The trend. Straight hair was given structure thanks to a neat centre parting. Roots are slicked down, providing a high shine, wet-look effect. As for the lengths, models wore their locks loose down their backs to open up the face and décolleté area. The runway show saw this look combined with very feminine make-up. Complexions and eyes were completely natural whilst lips were coated in a luscious layer of bold red lipstick. Outfits were minimal and elegant to complete the look.

Who can wear wet-look locks and a bold lip? Anyone who wants to add a touch of glamor whilst playing up their feminine side. However, this look certainly isn’t for daytime occasions. Re-create this look for a night out with friends or a special occasion where you really want to stand out from the crowd.

Get the runway look. Create a centre parting on clean, straight hair. Next, apply a small amount of Design Gel to the roots to get that dampened, wet-look effect. Leave your lengths free from any product and allow to hang loose down your back. Spray evenly all over with hairspray to hold everything in place, then move on to make-up. Create an even base with a touch of foundation, apply a couple of coats of mascara, and then carefully fill in your lips with a bold red shade.
