The timeless long bob

The long bob has always been a favourite at Jean Louis David. But this season, it’s all about boosting your power of seduction for an even more trendy and timeless result.

The long bob revisited. This style starts with a basic bob and gentle layers. Arty highlights, or even a fringe, are incorporated to shape your face and add movement to the cut. Say goodbye to the textbook bob. Time to get with the programme! Add subtle highlights to break away from your sensible side.

Styling ideas. For straight styles, apply a straightening heat protector spray to towel-dried hair to protect your hair from the heat of your styling tools. Pre-dry your hair using a hair dryer, and then straighten it using your straighteners.

For a flexible, almost natural style, the round brush is your go-to tool. Start at the roots and roll pieces of hair around the brush, holding this position while you dry. Repeat throughout your hair and on your fringe, if you have one, for a gorgeous, rounded style.

Want to add a quiff to customise your style? Take a large piece of hair from the top layer; backcomb using a fine-toothed comb, then insert rollers. Position them however you like to create a dishevelled look and achieve as much volume for your quiff as possible. Dry your hair then carefully remove the rollers once they have cooled down. Finally, simply spray back the sides using a fixing spray.
