Seen on the catwalks: hair grips
At Cacharel, designers Ling Liu and Dawei Sun have paid tribute to Amelia Earhart, the first woman to cross the Atlantic by plane. The air-inspired collection features a range of items in sky blue, a colour we are seeing everywhere – even in hairstyles!
Autumn-Winter 2012 collections have revealed a huge variety of hair accessories. At Cacharel, retro hairstyles are all the rage, with a low chignon, chic but not strict, teamed with a side-parting. The chignon is fixed in place with hair pins for a slightly loose effect.
The front section of the hair, which usually falls across the face, is pulled back. The ends are integrated with the chignon and the rest is held in place using four parallel hair grips. This gives the style a slightly crimped effect and the sky blue adds a touch of originality. Chic and easy to create, try this style out on yourself now!
