How to have great blow-dried hair, rain or shine

The weather is keeping us all guessing this spring… Even if you’re never without your umbrella, the damp air makes sure your immaculate hair will not stay in place for long! Here’s how to stay dry!

To maintain immaculate blow-dried hair, even when it’s raining, lots of prep is required both before and after. Don’t let the rain and wet weather give you a bad hair day!

Wash your hair in the morning or the night before, using a softening shampoo to smooth the cuticles and make your hair nice and easy to style. Towel-dry your hair and blast off using a hair dryer. “Before you get out your hair straighteners, apply a few drops of heat protector spray. This will make it easier to straighten your hair and protect it from the heat of the straighteners.”

When heading out, keep your umbrella at hand in case the heavens should decide to open! Once it has stopped raining, get started on your hair straightaway! “Use an anti-humidity spray and straighten your hair again to give it a boost and re-style.” Spray a few drops of the product into your hands and rub them together to warm it up. Apply to your hair, concentrating on the mid-lengths and ends.

Avoid hiding under a hat to escape the rain. This will only heat up your scalp, causing it to sweat and leave your hair looking frizzy.

Our tip: To complete and fix your style, spray a small amount of hairspray onto your comb and gently brush it through your hair, keeping to the surface. This will keep your hair straight for longer!
