Hairstyle of the week: relaxed waves
This style is perfect for showing off long lengths and is a fail-safe way of looking groomed and chic… say hello to sophisticated styling.
The trend. This look was spotted on the Felder Felder Spring-Summer 2015 runway show at London Fashion Week. Curls were added to create movement and body. Hair was a chestnut shade with long lengths, perfected with a subtle Sunlight treatment. Thanks to this Jean Louis David exclusive lightening treatment, sun-kissed highlights are simpler than ever to create. Finally, a center parting added some much-needed structure.
Get the runway look. Make like the runway models and pair this lightweight and airy style with fresh make-up. The must-have for this look is a flushed cheek; try using a pale pink or orange dusted across the apples. In terms of your outfit, opt for colorful, spring-inspired pieces that are feminine and flirty. There’s no better time to dig out that printed dress from the back of your wardrobe you’ve been dying to wear, a checked blouse or your favorite high-waisted midi skirt.
Step-by-step tutorial. Start by washing hair with Hydration and Suppleness shampoo to simultaneously soften and strengthen your locks. Dry carefully and part hair neatly in the center. Next, apply a heat-protective serum before creating curls with your heated iron. Tease lengths with your fingertips and spray all over with hairspray. This style works with all different hair lengths, whether you have a bob or super-long locks.
