Hair resolution no. 5: I’ll remember to brush my hair

Having resolutions is great. Sticking to them, even better! In January we’ve come up with a series of hair resolutions for you to try. We’ve mentioned using heat-protector treatments, massaging your scalp, having your ends trimmed and alternating between shampoos. To finish January on a beauty high note, brush your hair more often! We tell you why.

Brush your hair when it’s dry, morning and evening, with a flat brush. In the morning to untangle and style, but also to stimulate your blood’s micro-circulation and relax your scalp. In the evening to rid your hair of the impurities that get built up throughout the day.

To brush your hair properly, turn your head upside down then start brushing from the nape of your neck towards the top of your head. Do the same at the sides, then bring your head up and brush from the top of your head down to your neck. A word of advice, don’t brush your hair too violently, as this could end up stimulating your sebaceous glands, which will leave your hair looking greasy.
