É.H: In three words: rice protein is hydrating, softening and fortifying. Rice protein is equally good for the skin and hair. É.H: It is a hydrolyzed plant protein. That means that its molecules have been reduced in such a way that they penetrate the skin or hair more effectively. Rice protein also improves the hair's ability to retain water, hence why it is considered hydrating. Packed full of water, the hair shaft looks inflated which explains rice protein's volumizing effect, but not only that... The explanation is also in its electrostatic charge. It is a bit like two magnets repelling each other, the link between positively charged rice proteins and negatively charged hair creates a volumizing effect.
