What to use in your hair to make it smell nice

Your hair smells great after you’ve just washed it. But it tends to have worn off by the next day. There are two reasons for this. Sebum, which rarely smells like roses, and the environment, which includes pollution, cigarettes and cooking smells. Follow our advice for beautiful smelling hair.

Nice smelling hair is first of all down to your shampoo. “At Jean Louis David, we work on fragrances to offer products that are both effective and nice to use. Especially products that are applied and left on the hair, such as a mask or a styling mousse.” The result is hair that smells nice, but not too strongly. The main thing is to find the right balance. But this scent has often disappeared by the next morning.

To get your hair smelling nice for as long as possible, you can cheat a in between washes using perfume. Yes, perfume contains alcohol, but it won’t harm your hair as long as you use it wisely. “So spray a mist of perfume in the air and walk through it. As long as you don’t use too much or concentrate it in one area, you’ll have no problems.”

You could also use essential oils, such as rose water, for example. “Buy an essential oil whose scent you like the smell of then pour it into a mini spray bottle. Apply before an important meeting or a date!” The natural extracts are also a good option as they are less harmful to your hair. Once again, as long as you use these products sparingly, there are no risks.

Our tip: If the smell of your hair really is an issue, you can’t simply solve the problem with perfume. It’s no secret that it needs to be washed, from the roots to the ends, for clean, lightly scented hair.
