Runway to reality: the 2-in-1 hairstyle

Every woman wants to be able to wear a hairstyle that combines all of her favourite styling techniques. Perhaps a chignon on the right and a ponytail on the left? Maybe not, as this is bound to look messy and out of place. Whereas with the 2-in-1 hairstyle recently spotted on the Haider Ackermann catwalk? Now that’s a look you might just be able to pull off!

The 2-in-1 hairstyle spotted on the catwalk. Haider Ackermann is well known for his eclectic runway designs, and hair is no exception. From the front, models wore the lengths of their hair pulled up on top of the head with the ends skimming their eyes. The back, however, is a different story. The rear featured a much simpler design, which still oozed personality. Half of the hair was twisted up into an elegant banana chignon whilst the other half fell into a low ponytail. The result? A multi-tasking hairstyle, that’s for sure!

How to wear this style day-to-day. Ditch the front section! Nobody likes wearing their hair covering their eyes. However, the rear of the style can be altered for day-to-day wear, for days when you can’t choose which style to create. You’ll need to have an open mind and not be afraid of showing off your individuality. Everybody you meet is going to want to discuss your hairstyle choice!

How to create the look. Separate your hair into two equal sections, creating a neat centre parting between the two. Next, you simply need to decide which two styles you want to try out. A chignon and ponytail? Or a braid and a cute miniature bun? Just keep in mind that each section should be kept separate and not cross into the other’s territory.
