A closer look at this season’s zany bangs
The term ‘zany’ generally refers to something strange or out of the ordinary. Here, the word zany is being used to describe a new type of hairstyle that is gaining in popularity. To be more precise, it’s this season’s haphazardly cut fringe that is causing a stir. Unlike regular bangs which are traditionally cut fairly straight, this version is choppy and uneven. Let’s take a closer look at this season’s newest look which is being spotted more and more frequently.
From the catwalk to your local high street, women all over seem to be copying this trendy new look. Simple to create, you simply need a pair of scissors in order to cut and trim your fringe to your desired shape and style. It couldn’t be easier! Popular thanks to its unique style, this cut instantly highlights your facial features whilst giving you a cheeky look. Your new style will also win you points when it comes to originality, similar to beloved actress Audrey Hepburn’s style during the New Wave period.
This look is not recommended for those who prefer a neat, sharp looking fringe, however is perfect for those who want to combine a fairly simple and conventional style with out-there bangs! Ideally, your hair should be quite thin to create this look. Heavy curtain fringes are a big no-no! Whether your hair is long or short does not really matter, as long as you’re wearing your bangs in a choppy, unkempt manner. If you’re unsure, ask your stylist for some professional advice…then get to work with those scissors!
