Runway to reality: relaxed frizz

Want a unique, on-trend hairstyle this season? Pair your frizzy locks with a relaxed style for a wild, daring and feminine end-result.

The trend. This faux-messy look was spotted on the Marques Almeida Spring-Summer 2015 runway at London Fashion Week. Models’ hair was styled into frizzy, loose lengths structured with an equally as messy side parting. When it comes to curls, frizz was the key theme to add to the larger than life effect. The result? A va-va-voom hairstyle which will instantly add a rebel touch to any outfit.

Who can wear relaxed frizz? All those who want to make a bold statement, without going overboard. This subtly layered style is ideal if you want to create volume on thick hair. You can wear this relaxed and messy hairstyle every day when combined with a more sophisticated outfit to balance out the look.

Get the runway look. Start by washing hair with Curl and Definition shampoo from the Curl Therapy range which is adapted to coarser hair textures, providing deep nourishment. Allow to air dry before creating a side parting with your fingertips. Next, gently comb through with a brush to relax your curls and add frizz which will stop your style looking too perfect. Finally, spray evenly with hairspray for a long-lasting hold.
