What if, this season, you adopted for one evening (or more) a casual and ultra trendy look? For his Fall/Winter 2020/2021 "Take me to New York" collection, Jean Louis David has decided to focus on boxer braids, a streetwear must-have. In order to make them even more desirable and glamorous, Jean Louis David opts for an ultra sharp graphic touch. So are you ready to fall for this new look?
For his Fall/Winter 2020/2021 "Take me to New York" collection, Jean Louis David chose the great classic that is the boxer braids. Multiplication of braids, perfect sheathing and you'll get a very trendy and glamorous graphic look. Definitely one of the strongest styles of this new collection!
You like the graphic braids but you don't know if they are made for you? First of all, you should know that to get a nice result you will need to have the right length of hair, between mid-length and long. If you have short hair, graphic braids are unfortunately not really ideal for you. Styling-wise, while they've often been associated with streetwear looks, boxer braids can actually fit many looks. Rock, casual, even minimalist, it's up to you!
Boxer braids require a little dexterity and flexibility to work the braids at the back of the head. Some people can probably master them on their own with practice, but chances are you'll need a little help to make them perfectly and get a flawless result. And the symmetrical, sheathed look is what makes Jean Louis David graphic braids so chic.
To get started, take a brush to detangle your hair, a comb, Jean Louis David's Go Style Nutri Serum and hairspray. Start by dividing your hair into 6 or 7 sections depending on the thickness of your hair. For each braid, remove three strands of equal size and apply a dab of Nutri Serum to smooth it all out. As you braid, incorporate a new strand of hair so that your braid is well stuck to your head. Finally, attach your first braid with a small transparent elastic band. Repeat the operation until you have braided your entire head. Once your hairstyle is finished, you can, if you wish, fix it with a light veil of hairspray.
