Help! My blond hair is turning yellow!

Blond hair is beautiful, especially as it is luminous! If for some time, you have noticed unattractive highlights in your hair, discover all of our expert's advice and tips to get rid of them.

Why is my hair colour changing?

Your hair colour will always be radiant when you come out of the salon. "However, your blond hair is bound to change over time. After six weeks, it can start to tarnish due to repetitive shampooing or external damage, notably pollution or prolonged exposure to harmful UV rays. On the other hand, the bleaching base of blond is yellow. When it becomes depigmented, highlights of this colour appear systematically and your colour looks less attractive."

"Yellow highlights never appear when your colour has just been put in."

Aurea Sanchez Coletto

What are the solutions?

As soon as you notice undesirable highlights, visit your salon immediately. "Your hairdresser will then neutralise the yellow pigments by applying a blue/violet product to your colour. Your hair will therefore seem much more luminous. Another solution: your hairdresser can also recreate your blond with new colouring in order to give shine back to your hair. However, you will need to wait for 2/3 months after your first colouring".

At home, pamper your hair with products from the Color Therapy range. "Also, once a month use anti-yellowing treatment, such as Silver Therapy shampoo. This is the ideal frequency to obtain visible results. Aesthetically, you can also make your hair shine with Shine Spray. This will not neutralise the highlights. However, as your hair will look shiny, your blond colour will be enhanced!"
