During the 90s, face framing bangs were on the to-do list of every self-respecting fashionista at the time. So much so that this look is making a comeback for 2015! Let’s find out whether this trend is a winner or a no-go…
The trend. This beauty look has been brought to the fore by none other than Valentino during the Autumn-Winter 2014-2015 runway show at Paris Fashion Week. Hair was styled into an updo thanks to a low-slung ponytail which was structured with a centre parting. Two front sections hung loose around the face to frame each model’s features.
Who can wear face-framing bangs? This cut is perfect for thinning down your face, especially if your cheeks are full or round. It will also soften a harder-looking hairstyle by adding a feminine feel.
Get the runway look. Start by washing your locks with Hydration and Suppleness shampoo from the Oil therapy range before detangling, then drying. Create a neat centre parting, then gather your lengths into a ponytail at the nape of the neck, leaving your front strands loose. Secure into a tight ponytail, fixing into place with a strong-hold hairspray. To nail the runway look, you’ll need at least shoulder length hair.
