Spring-Summer collection

The Rock Nineties

Share

For Spring-Summer 2017, Jean Louis David's version of the layered bob is full of rock'n'roll attitude with its unstructured cut and unruly tufts. The whole look is enhanced by a blond hair colouring which is full of shades and contrasts.

The haircut

The Rock Nineties haircut is a layered, thinned-out bob which makes for an unstructured feel and gives a wild look to the hairstyle.

The exclusive technique

To add depth to the haircut, blond locks are illuminated with a sun-kissed effect using the Contrast treatment: a highlighting technique full of contrasts thanks to the combination of two techniques (applied by comb, brush or foil), for a very natural result.

The four variations of the Rock Nineties style

- A wild wavy style

- A pumped-up look at the roots

- A side parting with a well-styled front section

- Unstructured straightening

To get this XXL volume, a small amount of mousse is applied to the roots. The hair is then styled using curling tongs to form large floaty curls. The sections framing the face are then swept towards the back without being flattened down.

Here the bob is also styled using a small amount of mousse and the loose waves are de-styled. This time, however, shorter strands framing the face are swept to one side and then scrunched. Beforehand, texturizing powder is applied to give body to the hair and make it easier to style.

To get this Blondie look the stylist first applies a small amount of Brush Cream , which makes straightening easier and hydrates the locks. Then the stylist blow-dry styles your hair, straightening it by pulling down on each strand from the roots down to the tips using a flat hair brush and following the movement with the hair dryer. As a finishing touch, a few drops of Nutri Serum, a nutritive coating treatment , separate the strands out one by one.
