Seen on the catwalk: the bow headband

Just because summer is over doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of hair accessories. This Autumn-Winter season is also going to be big for hair slides and accessories in graphic and floral prints, along with an infinite variety of headbands.

At Tory Burch the designs have gone sensible for this new season. Cuts are straight and structured, colours are toned down and hairstyles are immaculate. Accessories are following suit with these bow headbands, which take us back to our childhood for a guaranteed sweet and innocent look. The headbands come in golden colours and metallic sheens, a long way from the plain, velvet versions our mothers used to make us wear.

The bow headband looks great worn with hair up in a chignon like at Tory Burch. Here, hair is separated horizontally into two sections. The back section is backcombed and pulled into a chignon. The front is straightened and styled with a neat side-parting. The headband is placed on the top of the head in between the two sections.
