Rock hairstyle: dishevelled hair from the Nina Ricci fashion show

For your next evening out, go for this rocky, modern hairstyle! But before you adopt this look, learn how to create it step by step.

The trend

It was spotted at the Nina Ricci Spring-Summer 2016 fashion show during Paris Fashion Week. The models’ wore their hair straightened and down. Falling down their backs, the hair was held in place by a necklace or tucked inside their clothes. As for the style, the hair was teased and dishevelled, giving a deliberately effortless look to the hairstyle, in a purely rock & roll way.

The little plus point: this hairstyle is halfway between straight and wavy hair and suits all lengths. Try it out with your bob, your short or XXL haircut.

How do I obtain the dishevelled effect?

Step 1: prepare your hair. Wash it with Moisture and Lightness shampoo from the Oil Therapy range to boost its shine. Wring out your hair with a towel, then untangle it carefully using a brush.

Step 2: texturize your hair. Apply a small amount of styling mousse, such as Design Mousse, on your still damp hair. This product is best for shaping the hair fibre and giving it maximum hold. Another solution: sprinkle Texture Powder sparingly onto dry hair.

Step 3: create the dishevelled look. Scrunch your hair strand by strand in your hands, by holding it for a few seconds before releasing. Ideally, use a hairdryer to help you do this. In fact, its heat allows you to fix the movement to perfection. Repeat this until you have obtained the desired effect.

Step 4: fix the hairstyle. Position your hair as you so desire: mark out a parting or not, give your hair movement or hold it in place with an on trend accessory…To finish, apply hairspray for a flawless hold.
